CONCRETE STRUCTURAL JACKING AND TEMPORARY PROPPING SUPPORT WORKS

As part of a major construction repair project, Hydra-Capsule were awarded the contract to hydraulically jack a four storey multi-buildings concrete structure over 250mm in one complete jacking stage.

The works consisted of Hydra Capsules’ synchronized jacking, computerized and monitoring system over 30 number long-stroke hydraulic jacks. Total load capacity of 1500 tons. Each jack was electronically controlled and had a 700 bar digital pressure gauge and 300mm stroke sensor to accurately lift the approximately 40 metres by 20 metres structure within +/- 1.00mm at all jacking locations.

The contract also required a complete design, supply and installation of a temporary propping system throughout the 4-storey structure to support the integral connections of the building whilst remedial works and complex jacking operation was carried out.

M27 PARK GATE INTERCHANGE – EAST & WEST BRIDGE

Hydra-Capsule have recently completed a major pre-loading and bearing replacement on the M27, junction 9 for the Highway Agency. The works consisted 84 number 50 tons capacity flat jacks, elastomeric / fixed and uni-guided bearings, temporary and permanent structural steel support works.

PHARMACEUTICAL PLANT - IRELAND

Capsule have recently completed a major pre-loading and bearing replacement on the M27, junction 9 for the Highway Agency. The works consisted 76 number 50 tons capacity flat jacks, elastomeric / fixed and guided bearings, temporary and permanent support works.

Hydra-Capsule awarded the contract to assist a design consultancy for a removal of major supports within the manufacturing department. The works involved installing transfusion flat jacks with a capacity of 200 tonnes at 8 number jacking points.

The complexity of the project was to incorporate different flat jack sizes and load requirement at each increment stages, with all the flat jacks being jacked synchronously on the same pumping system and continuously monitor the structure supports were being connected. The flat jacks were then transfused with grout; maintaining the original pre-load, deflection and movement displacement.

FMC is one of the world’s leading specialty chemical companies and enable new innovations in the pharmaceutical sector and has been carrying out redevelopment and expansion works at its major Cork, Ireland manufacturing factory.

HATCHFORD PARK BRIDGE – EMERGENCY REPAIR WORKS

30th September 2013

Hydra-Capsule were approached by the main contractor on the M25 Major Highway Framework to complete emergency repair works on the Hatchford Bridge, which had damaged support beams over a major M25 route.

The works were to design and supply a complete synchronized jacking and monitoring system to lift the entire bridge deck, supported by complete temporary support system. Whilst repair works were carried out, Hydra Capsule maintained equal loading between the bridge supports and once completed, lowered to disturb the loads equally throughout the supports. All within time restraint possessions.

PEGGY YACHT LIFTING

Hydra-Capsule have recently completed the design, supply, installation of a hydraulic jacking system for lifting one of the oldest yachts in the world, for remedial works, in the Isle of Man.

HYDRA-CAPSULE SUPPLY HIGH TONNAGE CYLINDERS FOR OFFSHORE JACKET LANCHING FOR THE TURKMENISTAN

Hydra-Capsule have recently completed the design, manufacturing and supply of high tonnage cylinders, hydraulic pressurizing and pumping equipment. The bespoke hydraulic jacks were designed the have capacity over 360 tons x 300mm stroke, and a complete monitoring and hydraulic pump unit to control these jacks.
